The Kitty Hawk Police Department shoulder patch was designed by David Cowan and was placed in service on June 2, 1986. The patch is designed around the Kitty Hawk Town Seal. The seal shows a depiction of the event that Kitty Hawk is most famous for, " Mans first powered flight". The date of 1981 can be seen under the Wright Flyer, which is the year the Town of Kitty Hawk was incorporated. This patch has become very popular for patch collectors. Due to the size of our department and the cost of having these patches made, we do not trade patches. If you wish to purchase a Kitty Hawk Patch we will be glad to sell you one at the cost of $5.00 each. We truly wish we could trade them or give them away, but we get hundreds of requests a year to trade.
Request for patches to be mailed outside of the U.S. will be $15.00 for shipping plus $5.00 for each patch.
